We have landed in Fota Wildlife!

We’ve just seen a female ostrich.

Meet Mia the Tapir. Mia is a herbivore!

The giraffes are just so tall!!!

The giraffes and zebras came all the way from Africa to meet us!

Meet the cheetah. The cheetah is the fastest animal in the world, even faster than Usain Bolt!

Fota Wildlife has bred 180 cheetah cubs in the last 30 years as part of it’s breeding programme.

The female cheetah likes to be on her own in the enclosure!

The male cheetahs like to bond.

Meet Maeve The White Tailed Sea Eagle. She has resided here for 30 years.

One of the Agile Gibbon monkeys just had a little baby!

The flamingoes came all the way from South America.

The Humboldt Penguin pictured above comes from Chile and Peru.

The Bison is also a herbivore.

1st – 5th Class depart at 8:45a.m. tomorrow morning for our School Tour to Cork.

The last part of the tour will see us disembark from the bus for a serious bout of retail therapy at Mahon Point Shopping Centre!!

Our award winners had a lovely time down in Kilkenny at the Scríobhleabhar and ‘Write A Poem’ Awards Ceremony in Kilkenny last Friday.

Well done to all our pupils who received awards.

Thirteen of our pupils are heading for Kilkenny this Friday to receive Awards in recognition of the outstanding work they produced for the ‘Write A Poem’ & Scríobh Leabhar Projects.

The ‘Write A Poem’ & Scríobhleabhar Awards Ceremony takes place in The Watershed Leisure Centre Kilkenny this Friday morning.

Well done to all the children who participated in the projects.

We wish all the boys and girl making their First Holy Communion this Saturday the very best of luck. Mass begins at 11am. Communion Candidates should be in their seats by 10.45am at the latest.

We thank Ms. Lahart and Ann Marie for their trojan work in preparing the class for this special day. The Communion Class have worked very hard from the beginning of the year in preparation for this special day.
