Fun with iPads

This morning the kids in 4th & 5th Class got a pleasant surprise when they came to school. We received four iPads on loan from Kilkenny Education Centre yesterday. We will have the iPads on loan for the next two months. This morning we explored some of the different Literacy, Numeracy & SESE Apps. We had great fun using the Book Creator App. We used this App to create some of our own story books. We learned how to insert images, text and even some sound files into our stories!

We also used the Match Animals App which was really cool! This tested our visual memory skills and also reinforced some important vocabulary.

The Numeracy App ‘Mental Maths’ afforded us some time to refresh & reinforce the division & addition operations!

We really enjoyed ourselves!
