The junior and senior room pupils combined forces today for a table quiz in Maths & Spelling.
All teams excelled but only one team could be crowned champions for the day.

We have landed in Fota Wildlife!
We’ve just seen a female ostrich.
Meet Mia the Tapir. Mia is a herbivore!
The giraffes are just so tall!!!
The giraffes and zebras came all the way from Africa to meet us!
Meet the cheetah. The cheetah is the fastest animal in the world, even faster than Usain Bolt!
Fota Wildlife has bred 180 cheetah cubs in the last 30 years as part of it’s breeding programme.
The female cheetah likes to be on her own in the enclosure!
The male cheetahs like to bond.
Meet Maeve The White Tailed Sea Eagle. She has resided here for 30 years.

One of the Agile Gibbon monkeys just had a little baby!

The Humboldt Penguin pictured above comes from Chile and Peru.
The Bison is also a herbivore.

Wonderful day had by all in sun-drenched Cork. The children were a credit to the school.

Ms. Lahart integrated some Visual Arts with History this week when they made some very impressive Viking Ships.

1st – 5th Class depart at 8:45a.m. tomorrow morning for our School Tour to Cork.
First stop is Fota Wildlife Park: http://www.fotawildlife.ie/
We then move on to the Glen Resource Centre where the children will be exposed to a variety of entertaining activities: http://www.glencentre.ie/
The last part of the tour will see us disembark from the bus for a serious bout of retail therapy at Mahon Point Shopping Centre!!
We hope the good weather of the last two days continues.
