this is a link to download the novel, The Secret Garden, which we hope to read over the next few months. Save it on your desktop and it will be available then to read. We have started it at school and I will be giving pupils specific pages to read each night once we settle into the book at school. This is a very cost effective way for our older pupils to access good books so I hope it works for us.
M. Mc Elligott.
The junior and senior room pupils combined forces today for a table quiz in Maths & Spelling.
All teams excelled but only one team could be crowned champions for the day.
The Junior Infants had good fun this morning when making letters with play dough.
4th and 5th Class were given some D..E.A.R (Drop Everything And Read) Time in the afternoon today as a reward for their good behaviour and hard work all week.
They went to our nice reading corner to read their Library Books.
The children even managed to all fit on our 5 Beanie Bags!!
We followed up yesterday’s Adjectives Lesson by mounting our photos on our Adjectives Cards. The results are impressive!
For homework last night, we cut out adjectives from newspapers which best described us! Some people typed up or hand-wrote adjectives which best described them. We’re going to mount our photos onto the coloured cards tomorrow which will put a nice coupe de grace on our Adjectives Cards. Well done páistí.
